 Sanborn, Head & Associates, Inc. offers a fringe benefit package including the following:
Group Insurance
Health and Dental Insurance - After 30 days of employment, regular full time employees are eligible for health insurance for themselves and their dependents, including medical, prescription, and dental coverage. SHA pays 80% of the premium for this coverage; the employee is responsible for paying the remaining 20% of the premium.
Disability Insurance - After 30 days of employment, short-term and long-term disability insurance is provided. SHA pays the entire premium for this coverage.
Life Insurance, AD&D - After 30 days of employment, life insurance coverage, equal to twice the employee's yearly salary, to a maximum of $100,000, and accidental death and dismemberment coverage, are provided and paid for 100% by SHA.
Flexible Benefit Plan - Regular full time employees are eligible to participate in the plan after 30 days of employment. This plan includes three components: Premium Offset, Health Care Reimbursement, and Dependent Care Reimbursement. The Premium Offset Plan allows employees to pay their share of a group medical insurance premium with pre-tax dollars. The Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Plans allow employees to set aside pre-tax dollars from their salary to go into accounts to reimburse them for allowable health-related and dependent day care expenses not covered by insurance.
Retirement Planning
401(k) Retirement / Profit Sharing Plan - SHA has a comprehensive company profit sharing / 401(k)-type retirement plan allowing pre-tax contributions through a choice of investments. Eligibility in SHA's 401(k) Retirement Plan is in accordance with the terms of the Plan's Summary Plan Description.
Time Off Benefits
Sick Time - SHA will provide allowance of paid time off for necessary health care related reasons, for not more than five days per year for regular full time employees working at least 32 hours per week. Eligibility begins upon hire.
Vacation - Vacation time accrues based on the hours worked. Regular full time employee accrue two weeks paid vacation per year for the first five years. After completing 5 years a full time employee earns at the rate of 3 weeks per year.
Holidays - SHA observes ten paid holidays per calendar year, three of which are "floating," and may be taken on days of the employee's choice, consistent with SHA's project workload.
Bereavement Leave - Employees are eligible to receive up to three (3) consecutive days paid for the funeral of a member of his or her immediate family.
Professional Development Educational Assistance & Reimbursement - SHA will reimburse you for pre-approved course work directly related to your profession, providing you maintain a "B" or higher average. Eligibility begins after 6 months of employment.
Professional Licensing - SHA will reimburse reasonable fees for refresher or training courses in preparation for professional licensing exams.
SHA will also provide reimbursement for additional licensing fees for professional registrations in required states and jurisdictions.
Presentation & Publications - One way to grow as a professional is by publishing and presenting technical papers. SHA provides a cash bonus to those employees who prepare and present and/or publish technical papers in approved conferences/journals.
