Project Manager
Our Randolph, Vermont office is looking for a senior level solid waste/civil engineer with at least four years of related experience. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to be involved with a group of professionals advancing civil, geotechnical, and environmental permitting, design, and construction projects related to waste management, clean energy, brownfield redevelopment, and water resources.
Examples of the position responsibilities include:
- Use engineering software to prepare calculations supporting: (i) stormwater management, hydrology, and drainage designs; (ii) slope stability evaluations; (iii) and landfill designs;
- Lead junior engineers in preparing design, permitting, and construction documents;
- Read and interpret design drawings and calculations;
- Develop project strategies and design alternatives;
- Manage projects greater than $75,000 in revenue;
- Assist in business development initiatives; and
- Prepare technical reports and other documents.
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in civil engineering, or equivalent education. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential and strong attention to detail are required. Preference will be given to candidates with a PE certification, solid waste engineering experience, and a Master of Science degree in engineering.

Geotechnical Engineering Project Manager

Sanborn Head has a tremendous opportunity for a self-motivated, experienced geotechnical project manager in our fast-paced Development Client Service Area office in Westford, MA.
Examples of the position responsibilities include:
- Lead complex/innovative Geotechnical & Environmental investigations;
- Supervise and coordinate entry-level field staff;
- Manage and coordinate multiple small and mid-size projects or phases of large projects;
- Directs preparation and assumes responsibility for complete project documents, including design plans and reports
- Analyze and interpret field data;
- Formulate engineering recommendations and calculations to support geotechnical designs;
- Prepare technical reports and other deliverables;
Qualified candidates should possess a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Focus), a P.E License, and 5-10 years of experience working on environmental and geotechnical projects. Candidates must have a solid understanding of soil mechanics, deep and shallow foundation design, and earth support systems. Experience with engineering and construction in urban environments is a plus. Proficiency in geotechnical software is expected. Excellent verbal communication, analytical and technical writing skills are essential. A strong attention to detail is required.

Civil Engineering/Environmental Technician
Our Randolph, VT office is seeking a talented, self-motivated and technically oriented Civil Engineering / Environmental Technician to provide construction monitoring and environmental field services such as; construction quality assurance services on earthwork construction projects, field sampling, logging subsurface explorations, and data reduction. The position also involves office related tasks such as assisting in the preparation of plans using AutoCAD, specifications and technical reports. AutoCAD experience, OSHA 40-hour health and safety training, and nuclear density gauge certification are a plus. Candidates should possess an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or other similar relevant education.
