We are seeking a Project Manager to work on contaminated site investigations, remediation engineering design and implementation, vapor intrusion studies, industrial engineering, storm water engineering design and permitting, and air permitting projects.

Qualified candidates must possess 4-8 years engineering experience that includes developing and implementing environmental management systems, air quality permitting, storm water engineering design and permitting, wastewater engineering, and systems monitoring and optimization. A BS degree in Environmental, civil, or chemical engineering required. MS degree and PE License is preferred.

Project Manager

Dallas, Texas

Sanborn Head is seeking qualified engineers to join our Dallas, TX office to assist us in expanding our Solid Waste Client Service Area throughout the Southwest.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Project Managers who have worked in an engineering consulting environment. Qualified candidates must possess at least 5-7 years engineering experience working on solid waste projects, including general civil engineering design, stormwater design and management, geotechnical evaluations, subsurface investigations, environmental remediation, waste management facility design and permitting, and construction management. Landfill gas management project experience is also a plus. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. A strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.  A Masters degree in Environmental, or Civil engineering required. PE License is preferred.

Senior Geotechnical Project Engineer

Westford, Massachusetts

Sanborn Head has a tremendous opportunity for a self-motivated geotechnical engineer with 3-5 years experience in our fast-paced Development Client Service Area office in Westford, MA.

Qualified candidates should possess a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Focus) and have 3-5 years of experience working on environmental and geotechnical projects.  Candidates must have a solid understanding of soil mechanics, deep and shallow foundation design, and earth support systems. Experience with engineering and construction in urban environments is a plus. Proficiency in geotechnical software is expected.  Excellent verbal communication, analytical and technical writing skills are essential.   A strong attention to detail is required. 

Examples of the position responsibilities include:                            


  • Perform Geotechnical & Environmental investigations;

  • Supervise and coordinate entry-level field staff;

  • Manage small projects or smaller components of  large projects;

  • Collect, interpret and analyze field data;

  • Formulate engineering recommendations and calculations to support geotechnical designs;

  • Prepare technical reports and other deliverables;

The Engineer will work closely with senior staff and be provided opportunities for professional licensure.
