Jon is a Professional Engineer with over 16 years of experience in the areas of hazardous waste site assessment/characterization and remediation, water resources, solid waste, and civil engineering. Jon has been with SHA since 1995 and his practice during that time has focused on characterization, risk assessment and remediation of commercial and industrial properties involving chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, PCBs, metals, and other contaminants present in soil vapor, soil, groundwater, and fractured bedrock. Jon's expertise includes groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling and he has experience with permitting, design, and construction of civil, remediation and solid waste engineering projects. Jon has successfully completed projects located in multiple states, Europe, Asia and South America. Jon spent a year and a half in the United Kingdom working with a team of planners, attorneys and risk assessors on a strategy that led to planning approval for redevelopment and the sale of a large industrial property. Jon has extensive experience giving technical presentations to clients, attorneys and regulators. Drawing from his experience with the assessment, characterization and remediation of subsurface contamination, he has provided second-opinion/peer review of work completed by other firms to determine the adequacy of site characterization and identification of associated liabilities.
