Colleen is a key member of our growing Mid-Atlantic practice.  She has over 30 years of experience managing environmental issues in the chemical, oil & gas, energy, utility, aerospace, and manufacturing sectors. Colleen has regulatory expertise with RCRA, CERCLA, Brownfields, and State Voluntary programs and specializes in providing innovative solutions for complex sites. Her technical strengths are in emerging contaminants, risk assessment, geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, and remedial design.

Colleen has also distinguished herself through her strategic approach to challenges, strong relationships with clients, and inspirational leadership of teams. As a leader in the firm, Colleen is deeply committed to Sanborn Head’s focus on delivering technical expertise and responsive service to clients, as well as supporting the culture of collaboration, learning, and engagement with our people.

Colleen has undergraduate degrees in English and environmental science and resource management from Lehigh University. Also from Lehigh, she earned a master’s degree in geochemistry. Colleen is a member of Sanborn Head’s Board of Directors. She is also active in the professional community, serving as a member of the PADEP Cleanup Standards Scientific Advisory Board and the PADEP Brownfield Conference Planning Committee. Colleen is active in the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce and co-leads the Energy/Environment (Waste and Remediation) Committee and she is also a member of the Pennsylvania Chemical Industry Council’s Board where she leads the EHS/Legislative Committee. She is involved with the Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council and the Pennsylvania Council of Professional Geologists.

Outside of work, Colleen keeps busy with her family of four, plus their two dogs. Colleen’s interests include working with children who have learning differences and developmental challenges. She loves spending time at the beach with her family and friends.
