At Sanborn Head, Jon provides geotechnical engineering, design, and permitting services for a variety of projects, including large multi-structure developments, land development projects, and other large earthwork projects.

Jon routinely prepares application and design packages that include geotechnical engineering reports, permit applications and various engineering-related submittals. Prior to joining the Sanborn Head team, Jon graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

Jon’s favorite part of working at Sanborn Head is getting to work on technically challenging projects in a collaborative environment. He particularly enjoys designing gas collection and control system infrastructure for landfill gas applications and working on other solid waste-related designs. Jon is a member of Sanborn Head’s CAD Working Group, where he assists in the development of content and other CAD-related training.

When Jon isn’t at work, you can typically find him at the ice rink. He is actively involved in local ice hockey organizations and he coaches the Harwood Union High School boys’ varsity ice hockey team. Off the rink, Jon also enjoys golfing, pursuing real estate ventures, and participating in his hometown (Waterbury, VT) Planning Commission meetings.
