At Sanborn Head we believe that great companies are built by exceptional people. This year, we launched a new tradition that celebrates exactly that—the Founders Awards, presented at our Company Conference in Derry, New Hampshire on April 11.
The Founders Awards represent our commitment to honoring the values that have shaped our firm since its founding, while celebrating the individuals who bring those values to life every single day. Each of the four awards is named after a founding member of the company and corresponds to one of our core values. These honors remind us that together, we shape the future, inspire excellence, and build a company defined by passion, purpose, and possibility.
We were proud to present three of the four Founders Awards to deserving recipients. Although the R. Scott Shillaber Stewardship Award was not presented this year because no nominations fully met the criteria, it remains a valued part of our tradition, and we look forward to recognizing a recipient in the future.
Sanborn Head is pleased to be celebrating the following three outstanding professionals who have made significant contributions to our company and industry:
Heather Little, PG — Paul Sanborn Greater Good Award
Heather embodies what it means to serve with integrity. Her extensive dedication to environmental consulting has created positive ripple effects throughout our team and with our clients. What sets Heather apart is her ability to serve as a trusted advisor to clients while simultaneously mentoring staff, consistently meeting challenging project deadlines while juggling multiple complex reviews, and engaging in difficult conversations with transparency and clarity. Heather fosters an atmosphere of honor, integrity, and continuous learning that allows her colleagues to flourish and gain knowledge. Her innovative thinking in complex air modeling projects, combined with her broad understanding of air regulations, has made her an invaluable representative of our firm.
Dave Shea, PE — Charles Crocetti Excellence Award
Dave authentically embodies our core value of excellence — setting exceptionally high standards for quality, rigor, and accountability while instilling confidence in clients and elevating our firm’s reputation. Dave has been recognized by clients as a key contributor to our reputation for reliability and quality execution and has been praised by clients as their “go-to” consultant for invaluable vapor intrusion expertise and institutional knowledge. Client feedback consistently characterizes Dave as pragmatic, diligent, thoughtful, and credible—qualities that reflect his pattern of excellence in communication, advisory services, and delivery. Beyond his technical contributions, Dave actively supports colleague development and provides internal training sessions, demonstrating thoughtful, disciplined problem-solving approaches that exemplifies how innovation and excellence work together.
Brad Green, PG —Charles Head Leadership Award
Brad was recognized for his outstanding client and technical innovation, and investment in colleague growth and empowerment. He masters the balance between detailed technical work and big-picture strategic thinking, maintaining our position as a technical leader in environmental consulting services while serving as a client leader and keeping our firm at the forefront of cutting-edge investigation and analytical methods. He has been a champion for innovative technical methods including early adoption of COREDFN, advanced geophysical investigation techniques, and sensor-based technologies. As a primary contact with industry leaders nationally, Brad continues to keep Sanborn Head at the cutting edge of technology while demonstrating servant leadership by developing others and advancing client objectives simultaneously.
