Kevin is astute at bringing together civil, environmental, and geotechnical engineering disciplines to provide big-picture strategies for our clients. His geotechnical experience includes shallow and deep foundations, mass excavation support, ground improvement methods, retaining wall systems, and slope stability. Kevin has extensive experience working with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP), conducting soil precharacterization for off-site disposal and soil management during mass excavations. Kevin earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in civil engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
What Kevin likes best about working at Sanborn Head is getting the chance to work collaboratively with colleagues, design teams, contractors, and clients on challenging and high-profile projects. He also greatly appreciates Sanborn Head’s willingness to invest in and empower staff so they can take on increasing levels of responsibility and grow in their careers. Kevin is a member of Sanborn Head’s Retirement Planning Committee. He also sits on the Boston Groundwater Trust Advisory committee.
When he’s not on the job, Kevin enjoys pursuing his favorite outdoor activities–camping, backpacking, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing – with his wife and two sons. Additionally, Kevin has a love for older cars and trucks, which he enjoys working on when he has time.
